YOUNG PEOPLE
We support young people 11+ to access social and leisure activities while encouraging community connecting. Most young people seek friendships and like to feel included. We support young people to join new activities/social groups and seek new interests where they can form friendships and develop confidence and independence at the same time.
In addition we support young people keep fit and healthy by supporting them to participate in things such as leisure centres, bike rides, play ball games in the park or go on orienteering walks/geocaching. Careers advice and preparation to adulthood is also important to us and we support young people to think about their future aspirations and what they need to do to achieve their goals.
One area we start with includes supporting around life skills through practical support such as budgeting, visiting shops to put into practice money skills gained, communication skills and making eye contact with cashiers through to having the confidence to ask for your receipt and checking for correct change.
ADULTS
We offer a range of services for adults with disabilities. If you are looking for work, we can support you to create or update your CV, prepare for interviews, support you at your interview and if successful at interview stage, we offer in work support for both you and your employer to ensure sustainable long term employment.
If you are already in work and are facing challenges at work, we assist to resolve issues and help with work retention. This can include supporting with e-learning and other required training, job coaching, support at disciplinaries etc. We help individuals to apply for DWP Access to Work funding to receive our support.
